Ukrainian Curling Federation was founded in 2002. The Federation is a voluntary independent sport public organization that facilitates promotion and popularization of Curling in Ukraine, and provides support of European and World Curling interests in Ukraine.
At the World Curling Federation’s Annual General Assembly in 2013 Ukraine was accepted as provisional Member Association to the WCF.
On December 14, 2013 Ukrainian Curling Federation Extraordinary Conference was held, and new the President of the Federation – Alex Perevezentsev – was elected. A new Executive Board staff was approved to include a president, three vice-presidents and execute secretary.
The president of the Federation and the executive secretary met with the WCF President – Kate Caithness, the Executive Board and WCF media staff during the Curling event at Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. Mrs. Kate Caithness welcomed the Ukrainian Curling Federation in the world curling Family, wished a good promotion and offered participation in the WCF programmes. A number of meetings were also held in the framework of cooperation with Ministry of Youth and Sport of Ukraine and NOC of Ukraine.
On July 1, 2014 Ukrainian Curling Federation renewed its Associate Member of the WCF status for the period from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015.
At present the Federation puts effort to promote Curling in Ukraine, and invite wide range of people to this sport, relying upon both international and national experience and support.
